Why she decided to serve as a LSN project lead: I chose to serve as an LSN project lead because this scholarship has been a huge blessing for me, and I want to give back to my community. I also still want to have connections with my community and help an organization that needs it.
Ideas/plans for the LSN Give Back Initiative: My plan is to help an organization called Dare to Care which gives food to the food insecure in Washington County. They fill backpacks for elementary students who need nutritious kid-friendly food on the weekends as well as help our local food bank by providing food for families who are at-risk of being hungry.
Hobbies: Playing tennis, riding my bike, going on walks, being outdoors, reading, writing, cooking and baking, painting, drawing, spending time with family and friends, and playing with my dog.
Future plans: I want to teach in my own classroom and be creative with my students pertaining to their learning. I want to travel and spend time doing things I love!
Fun fact: I work as a writing tutor at Purdue University’s Writing Lab.
